We are two pilgrims on a shared path, exploring beauty, spirituality and stories.
Dawn
Writer, teacher, adventurer, apprentice.
I am a yoga teacher, pilgrim, and lifelong apprentice, exploring how travel can become a path of awakening. Through my blog, co-created with Tim, I share stories from journeys abroad—encounters with language, culture, food, yoga, and the sacred. Along the way, I reflect on what pilgrimage teaches us: to adventure outward while maintaining inward awareness.
Tim
Photographer, contributor.
After more than 35 years as a journalist and communications specialist, I recently retired—and found myself with something I hadn’t always had enough of: time. Time to slow down, to look around, and to ask, “What’s next?”
For me, the answer is travel.
Alongside Dawn, I’m setting out to see more of the world—not simply to visit new places, but to experience them. To wander unfamiliar streets, listen to different languages, taste new flavours, and discover the history and character that make each destination unique.
Photography has always taught me to pause and really look. Travel, I think, teaches us much the same thing. It reminds us how big the world is—and how small we sometimes make our own.
At this stage of life, I’m less interested in checking destinations off a list and more interested in collecting moments: the unexpected encounters, the quiet discoveries, the laughter, the beauty, and yes, even the occasional misadventure.
